Third public meeting for Maries County hazard mitigation plan Jan. 16

MARIES COUNTY—Meramec Regional Planning Commission (MRPC) to hold the third meeting of the Maries County hazard mitigation planning committee at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday Jan. 16, 2024, at the Vienna Youth Building (Ball Park), 210 Ball Park Road, Vienna, MO, to update the county’s hazard mitigation plan. The meeting is open to the public. 

The focus of this meeting will be to review and discuss all completed draft chapters of the hazard mitigation plan and discuss the formal adoption process for each jurisdiction. 

County-level hazard mitigation plans cover a five-year timeframe. Maries County’s draft chapters and the last plan that was approved in May 2019 and can be found at https://www.meramecregion.org/publications/. The first draft of the revised plan must be submitted to SEMA by March 5, 2024.
