Request for Bids – Phelps County Demolition Project:

Phelps County will be accepting sealed bids from qualified contractors for the demolition and removal of three to seven residential structures at the office of MRPC, 4 Industrial Drive, St. James, Mo 65559 until 10:00AM Monday, October 28, 2019, and then at said office publicly opened and read aloud. NO FAXED BIDS WILL BE ACCEPTED. Envelopes must be marked “Sealed Bid — Phelps County Demolition.”

Bids must be submitted for a lump sum; material and debris removal (for each residential house). Specifications with cost breakdowns must be attached and submitted with lump sum bids.

To be eligible to bid, contractors must be escorted on a walk-through of the properties prior to bidding. Specifications, Form of Contract, Forms of Bid Bond, Performance and Payment Bond and other contract documents may be examined at the pre-bid conference and walk-through at 9:00AM on Friday, October 18, 2019 at the 1st unit located at 22466 Pvt. Dr. 9002, Jerome, MO. Contractors will need to meet Building Inspector, Chuck Cantrell, by 9:00AM. They should bring their tape measures, ladders, levels, and etc., plus any subcontractors they are planning use.

Each bid must be accompanied by a bid guarantee equivalent to 5% of the bid amount. This can be secured by a bid bond or certified check and must be included with the bid.

Attention of bidders is particularly called to the requirements as the conditions of employment to be observed and Davis Bacon and/or State Prevailing Wage rates to be paid under the contract, Section 3-DBE, Segregated Facility, Section 109, E.O. 11246, and compliance with the OSHA 10-hour construction safety course. Documentation of compliance with E-Verify is required.

Any contract or contracts awarded under this invitation for bids are expected to be funded, in part by a grant from CDBG and FEMA. Neither the United States nor any of its departments, agencies, or employees are or will be a party to this Invitation for Bids or any resulting contract. All contractors must carry Workers Compensation and Liability Insurances before contracts can be awarded. All septic system cleaners must carry State Certification. All contractors must be registered with the Secretary of State before work can begin.

Award of the contract will be made on the basis of lowest responsive, responsible bid based on owner selection and approval. Phelps County reserves the right to waive any informality or reject any or all bids. No bidder may withdraw his bid within 30 days after the actual date of the opening. Request for Contractors:

Contractors are needed for home repair work in Holts Summit Greenway Village has been awarded a grant for a senior housing renovation project by the Federal Home Loan Bank-Des Moines (FHLB). Meramec Regional Planning Commission (MRPC) is administering the grant. The grant will allow the senior housing board to hire contractors to renovate 12 one-bedroom housing units at the complex, creating safer, healthier homes for residents. The potential scope of the project will include replacing roofs, kitchen cabinets, toilet stools, entry doors, storm doors, range hoods, GFCIs, smoke detectors, under counter lighting, exterior lighting, asphalt resurfacing, concrete leveling/mud jacking, base board heater replacement, guttering, and vinyl siding. Contractors are needed to make these renovations and are asked to complete a contractor application prior to bidding.
