Osage R-I — Chamois receives $650 grant for bicycle safety program

ST. JAMES—Meramec Regional Planning Commission Executive Director Bonnie Prigge and MoDOT Central District Traffic Engineer Trent Brooks presented Osage R-I school district a grant for $650 to promote bicycle safety, as a high number of students ride their bikes around town and to school. The grant was made possible through the Central District Coalition for Roadway Safety. The school plans to host a bicycle safety event, and share information on safe bicycling with students.

Superintendent Lyle Best applied for the grant.
