BOURBON—The Central District Coalition for Roadway Safety awarded Bourbon High School a $400 Project Graduation grant to assist with Project Graduation, a drug and alcohol-free after graduation celebration. Schools that participated in the ‘It Only Takes One’ seatbelt competition were eligible to apply for the Project Graduation grant, which included cash, gift cards and educational incentives that remind students to buckle up and drive safely. Accepting the incentives on behalf of the 2015-16 senior class were (from left) Karlie Beckett, Emily Dowell, Becca Weppner, senior class sponsor Trish Lewis, and senior Sarah Lockhart. Meramec Regional Planning Commission (MRPC) is a member of the coalition and presented incentives on its behalf.
