Contractor walk-through scheduled for Dec. 14

ST. JAMES—Liberty Garden Apartments in Wright City is requesting bids from contractors for an upcoming rehabilitation project to its senior housing complex. A contractor walk-through for the project is scheduled for 10 a.m. on Dec. 14 at 305 S. Elm St., Wright City.

The Federal Home Loan Bank-Des Moines (FHLB) has awarded Liberty Garden a grant to remodel the senior housing complex. The Liberty Garden board partnered with MRPC on the grant, totaling $350,480. MRPC will serve as administrator and inspector on the project.

The potential scope of the project will include replacing sidewalks, roofs, windows, kitchen cabinets, bathroom vanities, toilet stools, entry doors, storm doors, floor coverings, range hoods, siding, soffit, fascia, and guttering. All bids must be received at the MRPC office on or before the bid opening on Dec. 28 at 10 a.m. and must be submitted on the bid specification sheet that will be provided at the walk-through. The Liberty Garden board will review bids and select contractors to perform the work.

In case of inclement weather or hazardous road conditions, contractors should contact Chuck Cantrell at 573-263-8194 by 7:30 am on Dec. 14 to confirm walk-through is not canceled. In event of a cancellation, the walk-through will be rescheduled to Dec. 28 at 10 a.m.
