Meeting Minutes

January 21, 2010

Call to Order:
Jay Gourley, chairman, called the January 21, 2010 meeting to order at 6:15 p.m. at the Café Company in Owensville, MO.

Members Present:
Ed Meiser, Bruce Sassmann, Jay Gourley, and Dale Ridder.

Members Not Present:
Roberta Berger

Guests Present:
Michelle Jett

County and MRPC Representatives Present:
Jerry Lairmore and Connie Willman

Approval of Minutes:
Bruce Sassmann moved, seconded by Ed Meiser that the minutes of the September 23, 2009 meeting be approved, with the following change:

Financial Report:
Connie presented The Statement of Revenue and Expenditures For The Month Ending December 31, 2009, and the Balance Sheet As of December 31, 2009. Bruce Sassmann made a motion, seconded by Ed Meiser, to approve the financials as presented. Motion passed.

Business:

• Owensville Chamber: Michelle Jett, President of the Owensville Chamber of Commerce, presented information about the Chamber and its activities. The Chamber has approximately 150 members currently. The group recently reactivated its economic development sub-committee to work toward bringing more business/industry into the county. Activities include the work with economic development, an annual awards banquet, fund-raising and others.
• Enhanced GVEZ: Jerry Lairmore presented information about proposed changes in the Gasconade Valley Enterprise Zone. The organization is considering changing its structure to include all the Enterprise Zone boards in Maries, Osage and Gasconade counties. The group would be responsible for meeting facilitation, filing of paperwork and marketing for all three of the Enterprise Zones.

• Next Meeting: The next meeting will be held in June. The day will be determined at a later date.
